Nice selection. However I have to point out that when they interviewed the cast Years later pretty much everyone agreed that the original ending that was only changed because New World Executives thought people did not like endings where the hero didn't unquestionably defeat the villian and save the day. such a dark ending would send people home feeling awful ghost ruining the entire movie. If you look back through the 80s one of the biggest people affected by this way of thinking was Stephen King almost every one of his movies made in the 80s had a completely different ending than the one he originally wrote in his book because back then a lot of his novels ended in a way that the heroes either completely lost or they would win but lose so much in the process the win didn't even matter. But back to my original Point even though everyone felt the ending was Superior in the original script one thing they all loved and in fact thought was one of the coolest scenes in the movie was the moment when JD's bomb explodes and in the process lights Heather's cigarette

One of the funniest, wittiest and nastiest films ever made. No question. 'I love my dead, gay son!'
